The shed has evolved into a laundry room, not a moment too soon. The roof sends rainwater to several 30-50 gallon barrels with siphoning hoses "synchroniz-ing" them. We attached a pump to the back of the washer and plug the pump and the washer into a gasoline-powered sine wave inverter generator.

I was wondering how you guys did laundry. I wondered if you did it old school with the scrub board and what-not. Very cool that you have a washer. What are you going to do in the winter? I'm not looking forward to winter, cuz I've been lovin' the fact that I can line dry for free. :(

Pretty much, I wait for a warm/dry spell. It's pretty easy to drain our washer so the line doesn't freeze. Dan put up a few lines in his house, now that it has been expanded, so iIf we have rain forecast for days on end the clothes can dry by his barrel stove. Once in awhile I just go to a friend's house, but I've been able to do almost all of our winter laundry in the laundry shed. :)
